Earlier this year Copper & Silk designed and provided unique contemporary sheer pendant lights to for a modern boardroom setting at Cardinal Place, London.
Working with premium Charcoal silk voile, the ethereal pendants complimented the contemporary space and chic corporate environment, giving out a soft glow to promote a restful work area. We love working with new fabrics, and the chance to work with something so delicate was a great test of our craftsmanship!
Designing these pendants was a fantastic challenge, and we’re hoping to develop something in sheer voile for our 2014 range. Both metallics and sheer fabric are going to be everywhere this year, if catwalks by the likes of Balenciaga, Nina Ricci and Calvin Klein are anything to go by.

It’s such a strong look – so we think it’s likely to make a foray into interiors too.
The subtle weave of glittering threads gives the finish a subtle shimmering quality, but without looking over the top or too glitzy. Just imagine it with a clear lining and a soft light shining through it for a romantic candle-lit effect. We love it best in shades of grey, taupe and pale gold, and accessorized with a decorative bulb.
